Once, a huge tree stood in a forest with enormous shade. However, it was very proud of its size. The tree let neither any animal rest under it nor any bird to make a nest on it. All the animals stayed away from it and so it had no friends. One autumn, the tree shed all its leaves and that winter, the tree started shivering because it had no leaves to warm it. One day, a bear saw the tree shivering and put a blanket around it. The passing animals told him, “That tree is not very friendly. So no one helps it.” However, the kind bear still decided to help the tree and did not take the blanket back. The tree felt ashamed and thanked the bear. Since then, it decided to help everyone. The next spring, many animals sat under the tree and many birds made their nests on it.
