The fairy prince told Hatim that they could not enter the capital of Barzakh without proper protection. He asked Hatim to wait for him in the nearby garden, while he went to his parental country, which was near by. From there, he brought back an army for their defence. The prince was given a grand welcome at home. The city went into the mode of celebration, as they had lost hope of seeing their prince again. His parents cried and asked him to make a promise that he would never leave them again. The prince immediately felt guilty. He explained his situation to them and asked for their help. Although his parents thought he was being foolish in trusting a stranger, and that too a human yet they still gave him an army of twelve thousand soldiers, the best they had. The prince then took an affectionate leave of his parents and left for the island of Barzakh, with Hatim and the army.
