A priest had adopted a little boy as his son. One day, the priest found his son playing with the statue of the child Jesus. The sculpture had somehow come alive. The priest said to the son, “When you meet your friend again, will you ask him if I shall go to glory in heaven when I am dead?” The son came back and said, “He said that you will not, because you have neglected your father and mother.” Hearing this, the priest brought his parents to where he lived. He treated them with kindness, love and respect. Slowly, he stopped thinking about any heavenly reward. Then one day, his parents died peacefully. They were very happy with their son. The priest was very sad. On Christmas Eve, he and the son heard a soft and lovely music. The angels came and took the priest’s parents to glorious heaven.
