The Price of a Prince

A nobleman was very eager to marry his daughter to Prince Bernard. Then she would later be the queen. He offered the king gold and jewels for the prince. But the king refused and said, “It’s for the prince to decide!” The prince set off to seek a bride. At night, he stopped at an unknown farm. The farmer and his family welcomed him and they sat down to dinner with his pretty daughter, Belinda, and a little son, Mike. “What do you think should be the price of a prince?” asked Prince Bernard. “Why?” asked Mike, “Can a prince be sold?” “No,” replied Prince Bernard, “How will he select a wife?” Belinda said, “If a good farmer needs a wife, he finds someone who will work hard on a farm! So, a prince’s wife must have the sense to help the prince run a kingdom!” Prince Bernard married Belinda and took her home!
