Christmas was almost there. Mr Bean, the postman, was very busy delivering letters. On top of that, it was so cold. But he always wore a smile on his face. One day, as he was walking on the icy pavement, he slipped and fell. The doctor admitted him in the hospital as his leg was broken. The doctor said, “You will have to be on rest.” So, Mr Bean had to stay in the hospital. He missed his work. But he was in for a surprise. When everyone heard about his accident, they all wrote him a ‘get-well letter’. Mr Bean got very emotional when he read the letters. He realized how much he was loved. When he recovered, he went home happily. The next day when he went to work, he was told that all the letters had been delivered. His well-wishers had helped him. That was the Christmas spirit.
