The Magician’s Three Conditions

Musahhir the magician was very angry with the soldier for visiting the garden reserved for the ladies of the family. He wanted to kill him instantly but his daughter stopped him. He then thought of a plan that would be impossible for the soldier to carry out. He asked the soldier to get him first a pair of birds called ‘pariru’. They were very rare and only the inhabitants of the jungle would know about them. Then he asked him to bring the pearl from the mouth of the red dragon. Then finally, the soldier had to throw himself into a large pot full of boiling oil and come out alive! The soldier realised that his end was definite. The magician might not have killed him, but while carrying out the demands of the magician he would surely die! This made him cry loudly as he did not know anyone who could help him.
