Once, there was a donkey named Chirpy. Chirpy was not an ordinary donkey. He could run as fast as a cheetah. But on the other hand, he was also gifted with a vile voice. Whenever he brayed, his master and his other friends in jungle closed their ears. Once while carrying a load for his master he saw a most beautiful donkey and fell in love with her and desired to marry her. But his beloved kept a condition to marry him that he would have to be the king of the forest. Hearing this Chirpy became very sad and went to the lion to express his desire to become the king. The lion roared loudly and drove him away.
Then an idea came into Chirpy’s mind. Early morning, he went into the lion’s den and began braying. The lion covered his ears but Chirpy kept braying so loudly that the lion could still hear him. Finally, the lion offered Chirpy the post of king and Jolly, her beloved happily married him.
