Once, there lived a poor girl in a village near a forest. One day, it rained heavily. Drenched in rain, she shivered and soon slept. After a while, the girl woke up. Comfortable warmth surrounded her as a bright fire burnt in the fireplace. As the girl looked around, she saw an angel smiling at her. Soon, the girl was well. The angel turned to leave but the girl cried and asked the fairy to take her along. The angel pointed at the fire and said, “My dear, you have been saved to share this eternal fire with the needy. Do your duty.” Then, the angel flew away. From that day on, the girl went from village to village and shared her fire with anyone who needed it. People gave her food, clothes and lots of love in return. The village people came to her whenever they needed fire and named her the fire girl.
