The princess was playing with her golden ball when the ball fell into a well. A frog brought it out but gave it on condition that the princess would feed him from her plate and let him sleep in her bed. The princess agreed, but she was disgusted when the frog came into the palace and sat down on the table to eat from her plate! She didn’t want to take the horrible frog to sleep in her bed, but her father, the king, said that she must keep her promise. So very reluctantly, she took him along. As the days went by, this became a routine. The princess began to enjoy the frog’s company. One night, she was so happy, talking to him, that the princess gave him a kiss. The frog was suddenly transformed into a handsome prince! The spell he had been put under by a witch broke. They fell in love and were married.
