The First World War

In 1914 the First World War broke out in Europe. It was the result of a series of secret pacts that went on for years. The process was triggered off by the Chancellor of Germany, Herr Bismarck.
In 1870-71 Bismarck had defeated and humiliated France before unifying the parts into one Germany. Consequently France was seeded with the wish to take revenge for its humiliation.
To protect Germany from the revenge war of France, Bismarck charted out practical foreign policy. He signed pacts with as many nations as possible to safeguard Germany’s interest. France was deliberately singled out for isolation.
When these friendship pacts were being signed Adolf Hitler was in Munich. Now he had been there for many years. The day Archduke F. Ferdinand was assassinated Adolf was in his house. Adolf suspected that it could be the handiwork of Austrian German students. They were angry at the pro-Slavik policies of the chief of Hebzberg regime and wanted to rid Germans of that enemy within.
He was stunned when it became known that assassination was carried out by the Saviars.
Adolf thought that it was wrong to blame the administrative circles of Vienna for whipping up war frenzy. The war was inevitable. At the most it could be postponed for two years. Better that it was set off earlier. There was no escape from it. The Germans could only be faulted for missing several chances of waging war to achieve long term peace. For the sake of peace it went for the foolish approach of signing and negotiating complex friendship treaties, wasting time and getting bogged down. At last it became the victim of the enemies of true peace and war mongering gang of the nations of the world.
According to Adolf Hitler it could be accepted without any doubt that 1914 World War was not thrust on the people. Infact the people wished for the war. They wanted the prevailing state of uncertainty to end. It was proved by the fact that two million German youth joined the army to sacrifice their lives.
The war of independence had intensified. The people had realised that government was unable to defend its own land, what to talk of gaining Austria or Siberia for the benefit of the German nation! So they wanted to put everything in the war effort to regain self-confidence. Adolf Hitler firmly believed that the war was for defending the own existence of the Germans and their country.
