Two years after their marriage Bill and Melinda were blessed with a girl child in 1996 christened Jeniffer Catherine Gates. As parents the two realised tha bringing up children was the life’s most happy and fulfilling experience. No other joy of life could match that feeling of blessedness. After the birth of Jeniffer Bill Gates was asurge with a new energy for life and work. He gained stunning successes professionally. Another girl arrived in 1999. The Gates couple named her Raurie Jane Gates.
A son made entry into the Gates family in 2002. He was christened Fobe Adle Gates. Bill proved an ideal husband and father who did full justice to his responsibilities towards the family as his pleasure. These were the kind of responsibilities that were sources of greatest joys of life. Bill believes that the kids must be brought up in natural environment and normal conditions without indulgence in luxuries and ostentations. His wife Melinda also thinks likewise.
Both of them believe that for natural evolution and development of children it was imperative they be brought up without burdening them with name, fame and social status of the parents or family.
Bill says every individual who arrives in this world defines himself through his own works. Each one must create one’s own identity. Gates want their kids to realise and identify their own existence. They don’t want their kids to be known only for being born in Gates family. Bill and Melinda are clear that their children must themselve prove their worth to the world and to themselves.
Bill is disciplinarian father. This fact is proven by the fact that to his ten year old loving daughter Jeniffer he allows only 45 minutes of computer time. He says that the on-line time and sites used by kids must be kept in view to know what goes on. Bill and Melinda believe the patients must be very careful about their children without being obtrusive.
