The eyes are the most important sense organs amongst five senses. Information about colour, distance and size of the objects is obtained by eyes. The human brain receives information in the form of pictures. We see pictures as movies in the dream. The eyes have most importance in our life. Brain analyses the views adopted by the eyes and the brain has to be very active in this analysis process. Human brain generally works at the frequency of 12 Cycle Per Second (CPS), but this frequency is reduced 2 CPS as soon as our eyelids are closed, frequency remains 10 CPS. Reduction of 2 Cycle Per Second electrical frequency of brain while closing eyelids proves that brain needs excessive energy and activity to analyse the data adopted by the eyes.
On one hand the eyes carry external data to the brain and on the other hand they also express thoughts, feelings, vices and states of mind – love, vanity, chasteness, deceit, cruelty, furiation etc. The eyes are the mirror of the mind. The feeling of the mind is expressed by the eyes. Therefore, the eyes are considered most important in face reading.
1. Shape of Eyes
Moral character of the person, depth of love, chasteness, promiscuitiness, polygamy, sexual power and faith for love etc. are to be known by the shape of eyes. There can be three types of shapes of eyes –
(1) Round Eyes
(2) Oval Eyes
(3) Narrow Elongated Eyes
Round Eyes : The eyes, of which revolution of eyelids are round, are called round eyes. Round eyes can be recognised easily. Round eyes are resembled with the eyes of the bird and animals that are by birth conjugal; in other words they are born in a pair of male and female and live together all over life. They are the symbol of monogamy. Their physical relation is confined only upto their spouse. If one of the pair dies unfortunately, other one hold up taking food and dies in the sorrow. Jayasi has written in Padmavat –
It is a natural fact that crane birds survive only in pair. If any male or female out of the pair is killed or he/she dies accidentally, the other one sacrifices his life in the sorrow. It is a natural example of eternal love, fidelity, which is found as a trait in some birds and animals.
Monogamy, chaste love, fidelity, by birth conjugality still exist in various birds and animals. Crane, eagle, pigeon, some kind of deer and fox are good examples for this custom. High quality of idealism and morality are seen in them about mutual love and sex. Such creatures never copulate with others except their pair. If we observe the eyes of birds and animals complying this tradition, a special similarity is found in them that the shape of their eyes is round.
The persons having round eyes are having the grace, quantity of fidelity, understanding the depth of love and giving respect to the love by heart. Such persons make love only once in their life. Their love is ideal i.e. they are attached with the person in love with whom they start loving first, they never think about others except their beloved. If their spouse dies, they spent the rest of life with their memories, but they do not make relationship with others. Such persons are ideal lover, very emotional, enjoying the deep happiness of love, having high moral character, learned of art, music, literature, amorous, imaginary and polite by nature.
This trait is mostly found in female than male. Women are more conservative and have more faith in chaste love than men. Many such events have been occurred in India, when wife burnt themselves by their own wish after the death of their husband, they were concremated. This kind of nature is a symbol of mutual and conjugal love of birds and animals having round eyes, where their existence depends upon each other. Separate or free existence of both can not be imagined. Therefore, second one out of pairs automatically dies when the first one does not exist. This is called co-existence.
Oval Eyes : Oval eyes resemble with round eyes to some extent in perspective and nature, but the circle of eyelids in oval eyes is not completely circled, but it is like an egg.
The persons possessing round eyes fall in love only once in their life. Their love is first and last, but the persons having oval eyes love one person at a time, to whom they love, they are completely devoted and chaste towards them in that time. If their life partner dies, they can make relationship with others and they also become devoted to get the company of them.
Such persons are good lovers, caretakers of their family, amorous, jovial, sophisticated, art lover and enjoy from sex. They are practical about life and feelings of love. The feelings of chasteness and easiness can be observed in their eyes. Such persons favour family life.
Narrow Elongated Eyes : Narrow, but elongated eyes are on account of being eyelids narrow. Their length is comparatively more. The size of their eyes in length is long and narrow due to being eyelids half open.
Narrow elongated eyes are found in those animals and human races who are the supporter of polygamy, promiscuity and free sex. The persons possessing narrow elongated eyes are very amorous and strong supporter of luxury and lust. Their life is lustful, emotionless and hypocritical. They are well versed in pacifying their passion and enjoying materialistic comfort. They are hard-hearted, emotionless and narrow. Such persons trap to others and make a sudden end of the relationship after attaining their goal.
The persons having narrow elongated eyes are very passionate. Such persons are polygamous or they sustain their relationship even after their marriage. Such persons relinquish the morality to pacify their lust. They are connoisseur in deceiving others and can easily trap others in their diplomacy. They do not care the feelings of others. Such persons live for the sake of themselves, they are self-centred and selfish, but looking gentleman.
Size of the Eyes
Large Size Eyes : The eyes of deer, rabbit are large. All these animals are very sensitive, emotional, alert, herbivorous and sophisticated. Their brain is developed. They become worried as soon as they experience any danger. Sufficient physical strength is not found in them.
The persons possessing large eyes like deer and rabbit are very sensitive, having good communication skill, talkative, alert for possible dangers, kind hearted, delicate and unstable by nature. Emotion and affection are dominantly found in their life. The persons having big size round convex eyes are great artist, singer, painter and orator. They have extraordinary capacity to express their feelings and thoughts. Such persons understand other’s feeling and thoughts and also know to give importance them, but they are also instantly affected by possible dangers and lose their balance at odd times. Their mind is always suffered from suspicions and becomes diverted under some pressure and loses its patience. The persons possessing big size eyes are emotional and shy by nature, they start abusing on being angry.
Small Size Eyes : The elephant is the creature who has small eyes. The nature has given them gigantic body, but made their eyes small. The elephants are mostly careless about environment, situation and dangers around them. There is a Hindi proverb “Dogs are barking and elephants are going on”. The elephants can not see far away things easily, but they can see a small needle placed near them and they can also lift it very efficiently and easily by their trunk. The creatures like deer, rabbit having big eyes, are able to see far away things, but they have no exact vision like an elephant. An elephant can see everything on the ground and can blow away the ant. They are heavy in weight, composed, herbivorous and powerful creature.
The persons having small eyes are calm, simple, stable and work patiently. Such persons have capacity to work without being diverted, but they have to face a lot of difficulties in their work due to being careless about their surrounding. They observe everything keenly, by virtue of which they are able to understand the mystery of nature. They have interest in the field of research, but they like to work calmly without giving anybody any trouble.
3. Position of the Eyes
Deep Set Eyes : Eagle’s eyes are the best example of deep set eyes. ‘Eagle-eyed’ is also in fashion as a proverb. The eagle sitting far away is able to see its prey easily. The eyes of kingfisher and eagles come under this category. While flying these birds are able to see the fish swimming into the water and hold their prey by pouncing it. Such birds have small and deep set eyes, but they have unique, extraordinary capacity to observe the target and also able to make dead shot.
The persons having deep set eyes are naturally very alert and aware. They are patientful, skilled in policy and practical minded. They initiate any work after observing the events and situations patiently; they do not do any work without proper consideration. Such persons are farsighted, efficient and diplomatic.
The advices given by them are always fruitful. The persons having deep set eyes are expert to discover the facts and making out the mysteries, therefore, they get success as good scientist, engineer, doctor or lawyer. In addition to all these qualities, they have some vices such as flexibility, fault finding, stubborn attitude etc.
Projecting Eyes : The persons having projecting eyes are highly emotional and impatient by nature. They are very sensitive; therefore, they are having furiousness like a mad. They are unable to control the impulses that arise due to anger, hatred and passion etc. The persons having projected eyes are suspicious, worried baselessly towards improbable events, puzzled, talkative, lazy by nature. Such persons have inability to understand the situation and accomplish their work wisely. Moreover, they have lack of practical thinking.
Close Set Eyes : Both the eyes are situated close to each other due to being the shape of nose thin. The persons are irritable and impulsive on account of situating both the eyes close. They can not control thoughts and impulses arising in their mind. They have impatience and volatility. They are narrow-minded and selfish by nature.
Wide Set Eyes : On being the nose wide and situating the eyes far from each other, the persons are laborious, patient, happy and conservative. Physical constitution and health of such persons are good. They like to enjoy various materialistic comforts of life and indulge in the luxury.
Uneven Eyes : Uneven eyes are the result of nervous disease, ailment in optic nerves, lens or retina. Both the eyes are not straight and one eye up and second one is slightly down i.e. in uneven position. In simple words, this is called slanting of eyes. This slantness can be of three types – (i) One eye straight, slantness of second one is towards the nose (ii) One eye straight, slantness of second one outwards and (iii) Any of the eye sometimes straight, sometimes slanted.
It is natural to develop inferiority complex and have lack of self confidence in the person due to having defect in his eye. As a result of which the persons are furious, irritable and suspicious by nature. They try to show themselves natural and simple and always remain more alert and conscious. They are suffered from inferiority complex due to additional consciousness for having deformity.
Angle of Inclination
Straight Eyes : If a straight horizontal imaginary line is drawn as shown in figure assuming inner and outer end of the eyes as base point, exact estimation of the inclination of eyes can be made on the basis of this line. If this line goes straight through both the eyes, called straight eyes. The persons, having straight eyes, are wise, patient, having balanced personality, kind hearted and curious. They maintain appropriate adjustment. Balance is found in their feeling and behaviour.
Such persons start their work after thinking merit-demerit of the work, no contradiction is found between their mind and brain. Such persons get success in various field of life and are known for balanced and systematic nature. Such persons succeed by virtue of labour, efficiency and wisdom. They have to face various types of difficulties in their life, but they maintain patience and fight the adverse situation gradually, they do not compromise with situation.
Upward Eyes : If the imaginary lines are drawn through both the ends of eyes and join with each other at middle point of the eyebrows (on forehead), such eyes are called upward eyes. The persons having upward eyes are spiritualistic, very emotional, insightful, great soul. They are more interested in spiritual matters than materialism. Such persons are expert in the field of secret arts, occultism such as meditation, yoga and astrology etc. They have dominance of insight and self motivation.
Their sixth sense is active. Such persons are known for mystery looker, predictor, philosopher, meritorious, religious teacher, preacher, prophet, sagacious, messiah or incarnated persons. Their thought is philosophical and life is simple. They are solitary, self-willed, sacrifice their life for great work remaining away from materialism and glamour and they remain the source of inspiration for human kind.
Downward Eyes : Joining point of imaginary lines in downward eyes is middle of the nose. Downward eyes are mostly found in four-footed animals such as elephant, cow, buffalo, pig, horse or giraffe etc. The animals, who depend upon grass of the land for food and have always to see on ground and their most of the time is spent looking below, have downward eyes.
Downward eyes are found in mentally, culturally and biologically undeveloped, uncivilised species. The persons having downward eyes are completely materialistic and enjoying food and luxury. They have lack of moral character. These persons have some demerits such as polygamy, lust, promiscuity, audaciousness, avariciousness, selfishness, deceit and superstition. Such persons are hard labourer, uncivilised and brutal. Downward eyes are the symbol of undeveloped human characters. Though the persons having downward eyes, their mental and biological development is less than normal persons. Brutal instinct is dominantly found in their nature. Primitive instincts such as lack of gentleness, illiteracy, witlessness, drug addiction, nakedness and free sex are found in their living standard, behaviour and character.
5. Colour of the Eyes
The rounded shape structure in the eyes, which is seen from the front is iris and white or light blue portion of eyeball is called conjunctiva. The colour of the eyes is determined on the basis of both these structures i.e. iris and conjunctiva.
The colour of conjunctiva is mostly light blue or white, but the iris is of various colours due to inheritance. The colour of eyes is also changed by the health and nature of the persons which should be studied carefully while reading the face.
Pure White Eyes : Infants have pure white or light blue flashing eyes. The persons having pure white eyes are chaste- hearted, jovial, credible, innocent and full of divine qualities. Such persons do not pay attention on the evil of others. They see goodness and divinity in every person. They are kind-hearted and their health generally remains good. Such persons remain away from quarrel and fight and stay blissful always.
Yellowish Eyes : Yellowish eyes represent deficiency of blood, malfunctioning of lever, dearth of vitamins and mineral in the body. The eyes of the person become yellow when they suffer from diseases like jaundice, diarrhea, cholera, typhoid etc. The persons having yellowish eyes are diseased, disappointed, weak, irritable and upset.
Lotus Like Eyes : The persons having light reddish eyes like a lotus are healthy, happy, energetic, ambitious, truthful, principled, having good character and gentle by nature. They have the capacity to face the situation boldly. Lotus like eyes is the sign of good health.
Deep Blue Colour : Deep bluish eyes indicate the deficiency of oxygen, which is a result of fatal effect of poison. The colour of eyes becomes blue due to snake-biting, taking poison and reaction of sulphur or other chemicals.
Red Colour : Red colour of the eyes may be caused by conjunctivitis or any other infection in eyes, nose, ear and throat. The eyes also become reddish due to over sensitivity, over happiness, outrage, lusterness, deep emotion which automatically regain in their previous state after vanishing effect of such episode. The eyes of short tempered and impulsive persons are also reddish. Appearance of reddish thread like structure in eyes also shows impulsive effect. The persons, whose eyes become red due to impulsive effect, are short tempered and restless by nature.
Soil Colour : Soil colour of the eyes is the representative of ill mentality, unchaste mind, deceit, pomp, vanity and anger. The person having soil eyes is frustrated and lack of physical power. He becomes rogue, lewd and hypocritical. The persons possessing soil eyes always keep on trying to show off their pomp. Such persons are cunning-minded and attack on their opponents on right time. They never forget to take revenge. The eyes may also be soil coloured due to malfunctioning of liver or kidney, diabetes, deficiency of essential elements for the body – minerals, vitamins, water etc. The eyes become yellowish or soily in absence of nutrition.
Black Colour : The eyes temporarily become blackish due to effect of poisonous gases, harmful chemicals, poison etc., which shows the absence of oxygen or symptom of suffocation.
The Colour of Iris
Genetics is responsible for the diversity in the colour of iris situated in the middle of eyeball, but this difference gives information about the character and nature of the person.
Blue Iris : The persons having blue iris are sensitive, amorous and enthusiastic by nature. If the colour of iris is deep blue, the lust is abundantly found in that person. Such persons are easily attracted towards opposite sex. They are interested in music, literature, beauty and sex. Their eyes are very attractive. If the colour of iris is light blue, the person wonders for their luxury throughout their life.
Green Iris : The persons having green iris are intellectual and of high mental capacity, they start their work after careful thinking on all aspects with patience. They are practical and social minded. Amorousness is dominantly found in them, but they never become audacious towards their love affairs. Their love affairs are mostly long lasting, permanent and solemn.
Brown Iris : The persons possessing brown iris are impulsive, short tempered, passionate by nature. Such persons become mad in anger. It is difficult to control them on being angry. The persons having brown iris are of good character, truthful, outspoken and bold. They do not deceive others and they publicly expose the persons, who tell a lie and deceive others, therefore, they have numerous enemies, who are influencing them. Such persons are enthusiastic and laborious. They make progress in life by virtue of labour and do not tolerate anything against their honour.
Cat’s Iris : The colour of iris like cat’s eyes is yellowish brown like garlic. The persons having iris like cat’s eyes are furious, pompous, fastidious, impractical and extremely passionate by nature. Such persons insult and make sad to others by their bitter words. They have a lot of enemies. They are alert, selfish, mysterious and cunning towards their work.
Black Iris : The person having black iris is diligent, ambitious, patient and calm by nature. Such persons have faith and belief in the God or Supernatural Power. They give importance to society, they are having moral character, generosity and idealistic feelings. They like to lead family life and experience happiness in complying customs, working jointly and having innate gracefulness.
6. Look
Look means to see. Everybody has personal style and idea to see. The idea, vested in the style of looking is as follows :
Innate Look : The person, having innate nature, looks to others naturally or with innate. The person, who have innate look, is chaste hearted, simple, having good character and full of self confidence. Their mind is always calm. They talk with others eye to eye and credibly.
Shy Look : Bashful and shy look is frequently changing and unstable. Persons having shy look, never talk with others eye to eye. Their face becomes reddish and heart is beating rapidly. The person having shy look is bashful, modest, mirthful, self centred and introvert.
Timid Look : The person is unable to talk with others eye to eye due to fear and absence of self confidence. Such situation arises when any crime, complex or fear is going on in the mind. Some persons are naturally timid and their look is full of fear without any appropriate reason. In timid look the sight of eye is inclined downwards, he does not see face to face.
Intentional Look : The look of the person motivated by any intention like appetite of sex or selfishness is always gazed at waist.
Proud Look : The look of proudy person centers on the head of the person, they want to dominate everyone. They feel insulted seeing downwards.
Hatred Look : When the hatred and dislike already exist in the mind, the person does not see on the eye of others; on the contrary he looks other side neglecting others. Non-seeing eye to eye is a result of hatred or guilt or complex.
Thief Look : When a person is very furious and eager to see other persons, but he is not able to see them due to shyness. In such situation he sometimes sees him with thief look. Thief look is the sign of chaste love and desire to get a view. Tulsidas has written :
Love Look : The couple, fallen in love, want to see just eye to eye each other. Then the words become silent and love communication goes on nonstop. In the words of Heera Sagar:
Amorous Look : Passionate person looks the woman with such greed as he has surrendered himself to her steps. Such look is called amorous look. The person, with amorous look, sees the women shamelessly with greedy eyes and women easily understand it and become alert from their purpose. The person having amorous look is lustful, amorous, sexually passionate, lustful and shameless. Amorous look is found in women also.
Curved Look : The looks of judges, police, advocate, investigating officer are curved. They want to know the truth of statement and behaviour of the person, at first do not believe on him they look at him suspiciously and verify the things on the basis of information available. The persons having curved look are always cautious, alert and having diplomatic thoughts. They are accustomed to look everything with suspicion.
Appealing Look : The look, arisen for politely appealing something without ego and proud, is called appealing look, which needs pity.
7. Weeping
The way of weeping gives information about the character and nature of the person. The types of weeping are as follows:
Silent Weeping : If only tears come out from eyes while weeping and the person does not utter any word, such weeping is called silent weeping. The persons having silent weeping are patient, endurable, masochist, sober by nature.
Sober Weeping : The sound of weeping is slightly come due to dominance of sorrow or pain, but most of the time weeping remains silent. Such weeping is called sober weeping. The persons do sober weeping are emotional, self controlled, firm determined and sensible.
Sob Weeping : The persons having sob weeping are full of childlike nature, highly emotional, fickle-minded and simple by nature.
Harsh Weeping : The persons, who cry loudly and making shout with harsh sound, are in habit to express their sorrow in exaggerated manner. Such persons are of low morale, sadist, passionate, limitless, uncaring for others, self-centred and indecent.
Crocodile’s Weeping : The persons, who do acting of weeping to show off, chest beating, being unconscious drama are called crocodile weeping. Although they are not sad in fact, they are connoisseur to weep or pour out tears for the specific purpose and want to serve their purpose with deceit or hypocrisy.
