While crossing the mountains in search of mountain Alka, Hatim saw a crying man. He walked up to him and asked him about his sorrows. “I am a soldier. I wanted a better life, so I started travelling. I crossed many deserts and islands, and one day, I reached a beautiful garden. On enquiring about the owner of the garden, I came to know that it belonged to a magician and the area I was standing upon was reserved for the ladies. I was about to leave when the magician’s daughter saw me and started talking to me. At that very moment, the magician appeared. He wanted to kill me for trespassing, but his daughter begged for my life. In rage, he asked me to fulfil his three conditions if I wanted to live. I can’t do it, so I am crying!” Hatim consoled the distressed solider and promised to help him before moving forward.
