Fred and Ted were best friends. Fred had just received a new dart board and they were playing a game. They wanted to see who could get the highest score with only one dart. Fred threw his dart and scored a 22. Fred then briefly left the room for a toilet break. When Fred returned, Ted claimed that he had taken his throw but had removed the dart from the board.
“What did you score then?”asked Fred.
“I scored a 23. One higher than you. So, I guess I won.” replied Ted. “No, actually you didn’t win because I don’t believe you,” said Fred.
Why didn’t Fred believe Ted?

It is impossible to score 23 points with one dart. You can get 22 by hitting double 11 and 24 by hitting double 12 but not 23.
