Bethany was a beautiful butterfly with bright colourful wings. But she was known for her forgetful and careless nature. One day, Bethany was hopping from flower to flower. She flew from one bloom to another in a happy and carefree way. “Bethany, please be careful,” warned Ron, the crow, who was her best friend. “What’s wrong? Why do you want me to be careful? It is such a beautiful day! I just want to enjoy the day and fun. Now, just watch me dance in the sun,” said Bethany. Before Ron could say anything to stop her, Bethany danced carelessly and she was caught in the spider’s web. Immediately, Ron flew up to Bethany as she cried out for help. Then, he softly tore the web with his beak and freed her. Bethany was very ashamed of her carelessness. She promised, “Ron, I can’t thank you enough. I will always be careful from now.” “I’m glad you realised your mistake, Bethany,” said Ron before they went to play together.
