Once, many insects lived in a beautiful garden. A beautiful butterfly was proud of her good looks and bragged all the time. One day, a usually patient cockroach became annoyed with her and said, “I challenge you to compete with me in a beauty contest.” The butterfly laughed and said, “I will surely win! So, Cockroach, why don’t you choose a jury?” At the contest, the butterfly was shocked! The jury included cockroaches, worms and beetles. They declared the cockroach as the winner. The angry butterfly fought with the jury, “Everyone can see that I am the most beautiful. You are unfair.” A beetle said, “Butterfly, you have only outer beauty. Last winter, my house was broken. I asked you for help but you banged your door on me. While the cockroach took me in and made me comfortable the entire winter.” The butterfly thought for a while and said, “Cockroach, they are right. You are truly beautiful.”
