There was great excitement in the garden, for a party was going to be held and it was announced that the Prince of Butterflies, who had fabulous gold and black wings, would select his bride. All the dragonflies, the ladybirds and other little creatures came for the party! The ladybirds’ coats shone red and the wings of the dragonflies sparkled. The butterflies came out in all the colours! The competition was tough. Suddenly, they saw a small brown butterfly with the splashes of black and gold fluttering near a daisy. “She’s a stranger here,” they whispered. The prince asked her who she was. “I’m lost!” said the butterfly, “My name’s Buffy.” “Well, Buffy, you’re not lost; I’ve found you!” announced the prince who had fallen in love with the shy brown butterfly! “Will you marry me and be the Butterfly Princess?” The prince asked and she became Princess Buffy!
