The Brass Jungle

Hatim’s difficulties increased when he found himself in the jungle of brass. The vegetation here consisted of sharp pins of brass and iron. As he walked, thousands of those pins pierced his feet. With each successive step, the pain became unbearable. His soles were pierced and bleeding; nothing worst could happen to him. At that very moment, gigantic dragons rushed towards him. They bore a mixed resemblance to eagles, tigers and foxes, and their tails resembled those of jackals and their feet resembled those of eagles. Hatim cast a look of despair all around him and saw the old man by his side again, who said to him, “Be brave and use your magical pearl.” Hatim took out the magical pearl and threw it on the ground. The dragons started fighting among themselves, till all were dead. Once again, the old man disappeared without Hatim getting a chance to thank him.
