The Blue Scarf

Jess, Gerald and Meryl were having a great time at the party. As they drank their Colas, they heard a shy voice. It was Chrissy, a meek boy, who studied in their class. Chrissy had a blue scarf tied around her neck. No matter what shirt or tee shirt she wore, the scarf was always there. So, they decided to tease her by untying the scarf. Gerald tapped Chrissy on the shoulders. When Chrissy turned around, Jess and Meryl crept from behind and untied her scarf. Chrissy’s head rolled to the floor. Her eyelids blinked twice before they fixed on the boys, her eyes full of rage. ‘Fix me; fix me,” cried the head in fury. The boys shrank back and ran. Picking up her head, the headless torso of Chrissy chased them. ‘Fix me,” it shrieked. Finally, Jess mustered some courage, fixed the head, and tied the blue scarf. “Thank you,” said Chrissy with a smile and left the party.
