Kasim did not go to school because his parents were too poor to afford his studies. He was poor, but talented and had a pleasant personality. He thought it was undignified to beg, so he decided to make use of his talent to earn money. He entertained tourists at Agra by showing and explaining them about the monuments and the historical places. He had learnt the history of Agra in various languages while working as an assistant to a tourist guide. The foreign visitors loved to hear about Agra in their native language and paid him generously. One day, a tourist was very impressed by his talk and said, “You are too young to work for your living, my boy! Will you come to my country? I will educate and train you for future.” Kasim readily agreed. Today, Kasim is educated and works with an NGO (Non-Government Organisation) to help the underprivileged children.
