Primrose liked to take a break from her work as often as possible. She was an assistant in a tailoring shop. She got tired of hemming and stitching buttons. ‘I could make gorgeous dresses if only they would let me!’ she thought, ‘I think I’ll make it when I take a break!’ And she began to make a beautiful dress of yellow satin and lace. One day, she tried out the dress and twirled around, looking splendid. “Who is that beautiful lady in the golden dress?” asked a customer. It was Prince Elliot! He had come to order a new waistcoat and fell in love with Primrose. Before she knew it, she was being introduced to the prince. He asked her to marry him! “But I am just a shop assistant!” she exclaimed. “And fit to be a princess too! Because you are hard-working and humble!” said the prince.
