Spread of revolution

By this procedure the message for revolution was being conveyed.
Nana Sahib, Baba Bhatt, Azimullah Khan and Tantya Tope performed this impossible task with such intelligence and secrecy that British Govt could not even guess it.
After completion of organisational task Nana Sahib and other went to tour north India. Where ever he went he met British officers with great courtasy. Accompanying him Tantya Tope, Jawala Parsad, Baba Bhatt and Azimullah Khan met with senior citizens and businessmen. Thus informations for expected revolution exchanged.

This delegation of Nana Sahib went upto Ambala city in north India.
Nana Sahib met Mogul emperor Bhadur Shah and his queen Zeenat Mahal in Delhi. Here he gave final touch to his plans.
Afterward it was decided that on 31st of May 1857 at all places and at a fixed time there will be revolt against the British.
Later on after visiting Kalpi and Lucknow Nana Sahib returned back.
Tatya reached Jhansi
It was the month of February. One night Tantya reached Jhansi. He met the queen and handed over her a letter.
After going through the letter queen Laxmi Bai suggested that it is not the right time. But Tantya said, “There is discontent in military. Now the iron is hot and it should be hammered Arms, weapons and ammunition all are ready.”
Tantya told to Rani that Nana has got fixed the day of 31st May i.e. Sunday to revolt consultations with after Delhi royal court.
Later on Rani Laxmi Bai agreed and Tantya Tope returned back.
Canning as vileroy
Tenure of Dalhousie was over and he late for Britain. But newly appointed Viceroy Lord Canning had to reap the seeds sown by Dalhousie.
Lord Canining was a prudent person. He had guessed about the atmosphere and had realised that soon after sitting on the royal seat he will have to face crisis.
