“I would like glass slippers like Cinderella!” wailed Princess Penny. “Penny, the glass will break,” said the queen, for the princess was rather large and plump! But Penny continued to weep. Many kinds of shoes were brought in for Penny: leather, silk, satin, wooden, cork! But Princess Penny was throwing a big tantrum. Finally, a pair of glass slippers were brought in. As soon as she wore them and stood up, they cracked! Penny started howling. The queen gave her a whack, startling Penny! “You will simply have to become slender if you want glass slippers, Penny!” scolded her mother, “Otherwise, wear one of the other slippers!” Princess Penny realised that she would have to put in some effort to earn it and use it if she wanted something badly. So, she kept a pair of glass slippers in her room, and began to make herself fit enough to wear them!
