Sheikh found a job as a cook’s assistant in a wealthy household. He worked hard the whole day. But the head cook gave him a small quantity of food to eat at night. So one night, it was past midnight, when Sheikh woke up, as he was feeling very hungry. He got up and went towards the kitchen. He heard some murmuring in the garden. When he went closer to the window, he heard that the cook and the driver were talking about stealing the lemons and selling them. Sheikh, who was more concerned about his hunger, interrupted and asked, “I am hungry; I want food.” The thieves were startled. They thought of giving some money to Sheikh, and asked him to keep quiet. Sheikh nodded and went towards the main gate. He stumbled over the sleeping gatekeeper, who jumped up and asked, “Where are you going, so late in the night?” Sheikh told him everything. The gatekeeper woke the owner of the house up and Sheikh was rewarded handsomely.
