Fawzia’s friends were impressed by Sheikh’s wit. They asked him to tell them some witty stories. Sheikh started telling them one story from his childhood, “This happened when I was five years old. One day, when I was sitting with my grandfather in the porch, his friend arrived. Since I was a small boy, I didn’t pay any attention or greet him. When the gentleman left, my grandfather scolded me. He told me that when any guest came, I should get up, greet him and offer my seat to him. I promised to do so in future. Again, after a few days, my grandfather’s friend came. This time I was sitting on my grandfather’s lap, eating berries. As soon as I saw him, I got up, greeted him with both palms joined in reverence and offered my grandfather’s lap as a seat to him. And everyone present in the porch burst out laughing. And I stood clueless, wondering what had happened.” Fawzia’s friends laughed too. They enjoyed listening to Sheikh’s stories. After a few days Sheikh got married to Fawzia.
