On Christmas day, three wise kings were travelling across a desert on their camels. They were on their way to Bethlehem. They were going to visit baby Jesus. The first king’s name was Melchior, the second’s name was Balthazar and the third’s name was Gaspar. Melchior’s camel was loaded with gold, Balthazar’s camel was loaded with incense and Gaspar’s camel was loaded with myrrh. The camel carrying the gold was very tired. He wanted to take rest. So he told the other two camels, “Friends, the gold I am carrying is heavier than the incense and the myrrh loaded on your backs. I need to rest.” The camel carrying the incense also complained, “Oh! This strong fragrance of incense is making me uncomfortable.” The camel carrying the myrrh was the wisest. He suggested, “Let us share the load amongst ourselves so that no one may feel tired.” And finally, the wise decision of sharing the load helped them all reach their destination without any difficulty.
