Plants are very useful to us. They give us food, medicines, gum and wood. A plant has roots, stem, branches and leaves. The roots remain under the soil. The stem, branches and leaves grow above the soil.
Plants take water and minerals from the soil. They take carbon dioxide from the air. During the day, plants make their food with the help of sunlight, water, minerals and carbon dioxide. After the food is made, plants give off oxygen which is a must for every living being. We can’t survive without oxygen. We should grow more and more plants in and around our neighbourhood. Only then can we give clean environment to our future generations.
