Development can greatly improve success. Most people have feelings of inadequateness that needs to be overcome. We have negative voices in our head that tell us that we are not good enough. We have a feeling that we will never be successful. We have trouble seeing beyond the doom and gloom thoughts. We are held back by a poor opinion of ourselves.
Some people display an attitude of superiority. It may be their true feeling, or sometimes it is a cover up of an inferiority complex. No one wants to admit their weaknesses. On the other hand, an attitude of arrogance, is usually disliked by others.

To have a likable and respected personality, you must have the right feelings about yourself. Others can sense someone who lacks confidence in them self. That can affect your relationship with them. They can also sense those who appear to look down on them. This will turn them off in a hurry. You cannot influence others if you are not sure who you are and what you can do.
How far up the ladder of success you go depends largely upon your personality development. You need to strike a balance of humility and self-respect. Humility is having a modest opinion of yourself. It is recognizing that others are better in some ways, but you may be better in other ways. Humility is often thought of as weakness, not standing for your rights.
Having humility does not require that you put yourself down. It is just as wrong to think too little of yourself as too much. You must see yourself as you really are, accepting your weaknesses with your strengths. What you think is a weakness may turn out to be strength. It just needs to be developed. Do not be ashamed of your weaknesses. God gave you both, strengths and weaknesses to define who you are.
Humility is putting yourself in the proper place, below God and equal with others. Everyone was created equally. Some have rich parents that can send them to the best schools. They may have more opportunities, but no more rights to life than you. You may have to struggle to survive, but that does not mean you have to look down on yourself. Most people we consider great, had to overcome tremendous odds.
Everyone needs healthy self-respect. You should not feel superior to others, but have confidence in your own abilities. Under-confidence will cause you to hold back and not try difficult things. Over-confidence may cause you to tackle things before making adequate preparations. A balance between humility and self respect makes you complete.
God does not make carbon copies. Everyone is unique, with qualities and abilities different from anyone else. You are valuable because there is no one like you. You just need to develop your personality and abilities and discover where you belong in the giant puzzle of life.

There are many personality types in the world. You are useful no matter what personality you are. The important thing is to develop your abilities as God works with you to make you complete. Your concept of the Creator determines how you serve him. Having the wrong concept could cause you to be lost.
