Paul was too small to save himself when the older boys troubled him in school. Paul seemed quieter than ever when he came home every day. His puzzled parents asked Paul to explain what happened in school, but Paul never spoke up. One day, Paul’s dad showed him a bar of chocolate but would not give it to him unless he told them what was happening to him in school. Paul’s father was shocked to learn how the older boys bullied Paul. He said, “Son, it is a crime if you don’t stand up against bullying. So, tell me, if you will do something, my child.” Paul nodded his head affirmatively. The next day, the older boys troubled Paul again. This time, he remembered his dad’s words. Without even a second’s thought, Paul hit the older boy hard in retaliation. The older boys ran away in fear and never troubled him again.
