The schools and colleges are called the ‘Institution of Learning’ as they impart education to the children and make them civilized citizens of India, but now the structure of the educational institutions have changed.
Now most of the Indian schools and colleges have become profit-oriented, and ask huge donations from the parents of the students, to get them admitted in the school, with the result of which brilliant students lag behind, while the weak ones get ahead and grab the responsible positions, for which they are not qualified, and are ignorant about the technicalities of their job, thus, they are not able to do their work efficiently. The weak students can become doctors and engineers by giving huge donations, but they can never play their role properly, as they don’t have enough knowledge to do the job.
The schools and colleges must stop taking donations from the parents and admit children on the basis of merit. Recently, in the capital city of Delhi the state govt. made it mandatory to admit at least 25% students from lower income group.
Infact the poor children must be admitted at affordable cost and the brilliant ones of them should be awarded with scholarship so that the students of keen intelligence should come up in their lives and make society a better place to live in. Their worthwhile contributions could change the entire structure of the society and bring marked improvement in the political, economic and social conditions, but it’s only possible when the authorities of educational institutions allow the admission of the brilliant children in their institutions at affordable cost.
