One day, Sheikh Chilli’s mother took Sheikh to a maulvi (religious scholar), to benefit from his advice. The maulvi talked to Sheikh about Allah’s greatness and how all creations, big and small, belonged to Allah. Sheikh pondered over the maulvi’s sayings and understood that all things belong to Allah. Next morning, he roamed around in a garden, admiring Allah’s creations -trees, flowers, birds, fruits, etc. He came to a mango tree, full of juicy ripe mangoes. He could not resist and climbed up the tree to pluck and eat the sweet mangoes. Just then, the gardener came and shouted on seeing Sheikh eating the mangoes, “Do you think these mangoes belong to your father?” Sheikh was not scared and said, “Yes, all trees are Allah’s and we are Allah’s children, the maulvi says so. So, these mangoes belong to my father.” The angry gardener was now amused!
