Madoff was a nice goblin but stole vegetables from the farms to feed himself. One night, Jack saw Madoff run into his pumpkin fields. He grabbed Madoff, and said, “You thief!” “I’m hungry. Please let me eat,” Madoff pleaded. Jack felt sorry for Madoff and said, “I’ll bring you ten pumpkins every night but you won’t steal again.” Madoff agreed. Thus, Jack fed him every night as promised. One night, Madoff said, “Jack, make a strong wall around your fields as I can feel something bad will happen.” Jack went and told the other farmers about Madoff’s warning. But everyone laughed at him. However, Jack made a wall around his fields. A few days later, a cyclone hit the city. It destroyed everybody’s crops except Jack’s. The wall had saved the crops. Jack hugged Madoff and thanked him. They both became best friends and lived together.
