Star, Gale and Daphin loved Tuck as their friend, but Tuck did not like them. ‘They play silly games! Running, cycling… Ughhh! Boring!’ thought Tuck, ‘Running on roads, jumping from high places and tearing pages from other students’ books is what I find interesting.’ One day, Tuck thought, ‘I will play by myself. I don’t want the company of those three. Let the games begin,’ he thought, and he stole money, tore pages from other students’ books, and even put glue on the teacher’s chair! None found out who did it. Then Tuck jumped off the bridge into the river. As soon as he hit the water, he panicked. He would have been drowned had it not been for Star, Gale and Daphin! They threw a rope and hauled him on to the land. “Do you have to put yourself into danger or trouble others to have fun? Can’t you just play?” they asked. Tuck realised how foolish he had been. He was grateful for such good friends.
