One day, Krishna and Arjuna went hunting in a forest. There, they saw a beautiful girl, Kalindi, who was river Yamuna personified. She told that she wished to marry Krishna. Krishna accepted her proposal and brought her to Dwarka. There, he married her with great pomp. The kings of Avantipura, named Vindya and Anuvindya, had a sister, Mitravinda. She was an elegant girl and had a strong desire to have Krishna as her husband. Knowing this, Krishna carried away Mitravinda from her swayamvar ceremony and married her. After this, Krishna married Satya, the daughter of king Nagnajit of Kosala by overcoming the challenge of defeating the seven very strong bulls maintained by king Nagnajit. Krishna then married Bhadra who was the princess of Kaikeya province and daughter of Krishna’s aunt Srutakirti. Bhadra’s brothers offered her in marriage to him.
