Jodie’s Toothache

Once there lived a little elf named Jodie. She always complained about everything. One morning, Jodie grumbled, “Mother, I don’t want the magic berries for breakfast today. I want chocolate cookies.” Saying so, Jodie started crying. Her mother asked Jodie to stop crying. She clicked her fingers—and many chocolate cookies appeared on the table. That night mother asked Jodie to brush her teeth before going to bed, but Jodie didn’t listen. The next day, Jodie had a bad toothache. That evening she had to attend a birthday party. But how could she go with the toothache? Jodie cried again to her mother, “Mother, how will I go to the birthday party with this pain?” Jodie’s mother said, “Calm down, Jodie! If you promise not to complain, I will make your toothache go away.” Her mother clicked her fingers and Jodie’s toothache vanished. She also stopped complaining. Slowly, she changed into a happy and cheerful elf.
