Jason, the elf, lived near a garden in an old teacup, with a picture of a fairy on it. He wished to find a pretty fairy like that for a wife. One day, he heard a cry for help. He found a small fairy who had fallen into a puddle of water and wetted her wings. She fainted! Jason picked her up and brought her to his house. He looked after her till she awoke. “I’m Jason,” he said, “Who are you? How did you fall into the puddle?” “I’m Hilda, the Fairy Princess of this garden. The gardener watered the daisies and splashed me too. So, I fell into it!” Jason let dry her wings and gave her some honey-dew to drink. They became friends. She fell in love with Jason, for she had never met any fairies who were as kind as he was. They married and lived happily in the teacup!
