Lord Rama was the prince of Ayodhya, when he was sent to exile for 14 years by his step mother. Lord Rama obeyed his stepmother and spent fourteen years in the dense forests.
People of his kingdom were overwhelmed with great joy, when he returned back to Ayodhya. They celebrated this day with great pomp and show. Hindus celebrate Diwali by firing crackers on this great occasion.
Holi is a festival of colours. People celebrate it by putting colours on one another. They eat delightful sweets after playing with colours. They dance and sing on the beat of a drum. Eid is the wonderful festival of Muslims. On this joyous occasion, people embrace one-another with love and distribute sweets. Eid is celebrated in the entire nation by the Muslim community. The ‘Guruparabs’ are the auspicious days of birth, death and martyrdom of Sikh Gurus. There are ten Gurus of Sikh religion who taught them to love every human being irrespective of caste, colour and creed.
