In Munich

After spending five years in Vienna Adolf Hitler shifted to Munich in the summer of 1912. Munich was different from Vienna. Adolf liked the city. He hired a house and decided to make some money and lead a decent life.
Adolf Hitler was then 24 years of age.
In Munich he did not try to make friends. He led a solitary life confined to his painting and reading books in the local library. He kept himself busy. During the resting hours he exercised his mind by pondering over the country, society, situations and happenings around Europe and the world.
The house he had hired was located in a quite area near military barracks close to the frontier.
He had already come to the conclusion in Vienna itself that the present political setup was useless. It could do no good to the people or the country. If the country was to be redeemed a national movement shall have to be started. Germans must unite. The army had to play a lead role. When the nationalist army would seize the power it will naturally destroy the anti-people and anti-national forces and the elements. The main attractions for Adolf in Munich were native smells, fervour, people, the artistic beauty of the city, architecture, the stretch from Hoff Brauhans to Odeon, the magnificent union of October Festival to Pinna Kothek etc.
He had grown special interest in international social and political developments besides the occupation with his own profession. Adolf was surprised how even the high and mighty of Munich had no idea about the true character of the Hebzberg regime. The ordinary folk still considered that regime to be a part of Germany. They were not aware of the truth that Austria was no more German land.
Italy had quit the Tripartite Alliance debunking the two pacts and had joined the opposition. In Austria only Hebzberg and German Austria had supported the alliance. Infact the Tripartite Alliance had done no good to Germany. On the contrary it had tried up Germany to a sinking country that was likely to take it also down to the bottom.
It was now impossible to save Germany from the failures of the crusade without striking a compromise with England. For the friendship with England no sacrifice could be spared. It had become so imperative for Germany’s survival. England also knew well that Germany must find new markets and lands in Europe or any other part of the globe with its help to accomodate its expanding population and industrial production. Perhaps it was the reason for England making an effort to come closer to Germany.
Japan sensed danger in it to its interests and in 1904 tried to influence German foreign policy in such a way that the latter got caught in subterfuges. And it was a fact that had Japan not accepted that policy there would have been world war in 1908 itself. But it would have been less costly compared to actual World War-I that broke out in 1914 in Europe and dragged on till 1918. The bloodshed and the material cost was staggering.
Hitler thought that dreaming to capture the world peacefully through commercial means was a foolish attempt.
1918 war with Austria was a blessing in disguise for Germany. Austria started it. So, Hebzberg was naturally involved in it. Germany remained politically stable and economically strong.
There was a factor in 1914-18 I World War, according to Adolf Hitler, that Germans fought bravely till they thought that they were fighting for principles. But as soon as the realisation began to sink in that it merely was a battle for fishes and loaves they began to lose interest and gave in.
Before the war Germans were made to believe that through peaceful commercial infiltration German empire could be spread all over the globe. It was the sign of the decay of will power, farsightedness and practical determination.
And its final consequence was war.
In 1913-14 Adolf Hitler proposed to Socialist and National Socialist movement leaders that to safeguard the future of Germany Marxism should be rubbed off. He considered the disastrous policy of Tripartite Alliance as the result of the effect of divisionary tendencies of Marxists theories. Marxist ideology according to him was corrupting a healthy political and economic system.
