Hatim Tai watched how the horsemen were in state of bliss, while their master cried all night. He could not leave Yusuf in this state. He said to him, “You have suffered for many years; there must be some way to bring you salvation!” Yusuf replied, “O kind man, in so many years you are the first person to ask me! My house is in China and there in one secret room I have hidden my wealth. Today, because of my bad deeds my grand-children are in a poor state. Go there and take out my hidden wealth. Divide it into four equal parts. Give one part to my grand-children, from the second part feed the hungry, from the third one give clothes to the naked and distribute the fourth part to the needy. This will bring me salvation.” Hatim promised Yusuf that he would honestly carry out his desires and only then continue his mission.
