The demon king Farokash requested Hatim Tai to stay with him for some time so that he might thank him properly. Kind-hearted Hatim could not refuse. He was quite impressed by the grandeur of Farokash’s palace, the lofty walls, beautiful ceilings, precious chandeliers and rich tapestry. He roamed in the magnificent gardens, walked around the lush green hills and tranquil streams. He was mesmerised; how wonderful the hidden world of demons was, inside this cave! After a few days Hatim took his leave. Farokash gave him so much wealth that it took ten slaves to carry it to the mouth of the cave. The human guards who were waiting outside the mouth of the cave were frightened to see Hatim with demons, so they ran away. Hatim went straight to his merchant friend and bestowed all his wealth to him, who in gratitude fell upon his feet.
