It was Christmas time. A woman was very poor. She was very unhappy, for she had no food to eat. She had no children. Her husband had also passed away. On Christmas Eve, she visited the church. She shared her grief with God. Then she returned home. Now, one day, a little parrot flew into the woman’s room from the window. She was surprised to see the parrot, as she knew that it belonged to her neighbour. The woman thought they must be looking for it. Thus, she took the parrot back to its owner. The owners were very happy to have their parrot back. They were overwhelmed by the poor woman’s honesty. They asked her to be their children’s nanny. In return, they gave her a room to stay and paid her handsomely. The woman was very happy. She thought of God and her conversation. God had sent help to her.
