John was a fisherman. He lived with his wife Milly on a small island. One day, John and Milly were returning home from the city in a small boat. Suddenly, the sky darkened and a strong storm arose in the ocean. Milly was scared and she trembled. She cried, “John, I am sure we will be drowned. This could be our last moment together! Aren’t you scared?” John smiled and hugged Milly. Then, he took out his net‑cutting knife from his bag. Surprisingly, he brought the knife near his wife’s neck and asked, “Are you afraid I will kill you?” Milly smiled and said, “Of course not! I am confident you love me and you won’t hurt me.” John said, “Just like that, I am confident that God loves me dearly and won’t hurt me at all. Place your problems in His hands!” Milly understood and prayed to God. In a while, the storm gradually settled down and they reached home safely.
