Frog’s New Home

Frog’s New Home

Once, there was a frog who lived in a mushroom. But he didn’t like his house. He always dreamt of a salubrious and unique house and kept roaming hither and thither in search of such house. One day he was wandering and saw a squirrel’s house. He admired the squirrel’s tree house as he passed by. ‘It must have a nice view. But it would get tiring climbing up there every day,’ he thought. Just then, he saw a worm popping out of its hole. ‘That’s a cozy home but I don’t think I would fit in it,’ said the frog to himself.

Then he saw a rabbit running into its burrow. He knew that rabbits’ burrows were connected by tunnels. ‘I wouldn’t like to live with so many room-mates,’ said the frog to himself. They reached a pond and the turtle slid into the water. All around him the frog saw the lily pads of various sizes and insects, though it was not a salubrious house but he thought there he would make a delicious snack. ‘This will be my new home,’ he said happily and hopped onto a lily pad.
