The group of fairies was busy preparing the garden for their queen Alkanpari, when they suddenly saw a human in their secret garden. They went to him and asked him, “How did you discover our place; no human has ever reached our gardens.” Hatim gave them a detailed account of how he followed them and about the promise he had made to the merchant. The fairies were impressed by his charitable nature. They said to him, “We cannot plead your case to our queen, nor can we tell her you are our guest. But if you agree, we will take you to her as our prisoner and then you may plead your case.” Hatim agreed to their plan. He did not want the kind fairies to get into trouble because of him. He was glad they did not punish him, so he patiently waited to be presented in front of the queen, as a prisoner.
