Eyed over Jhansi

Dalhousie fanned the anger by refusing acceptance of adopted son Damodar Rao as the successor of the state after the death of Ganga Dhar Rao. He desired to merge Jansi under the British empire.
As queen of Jhansi came to know the ill intentions of Dalhousie, she rored like a tigers, “I will not part away my Jhansi at any cost.”

Queen of Jhansi, Manu was the juvenile friend of Nana Sahib and Tantya and was married to King of Jhansi.
Her real name was Laxmi Bai. She was very courageous and brave. She took arms training alongwith Nana Sahib and Tantya Tope.
But she too was helpless against the British. Jhansi came under the company flag.
Delhi captured
After gaining control of so many states, British was fixed their gaze over Delhi.
British Resident seized powers of old Mughal King Bhadur Shah Zafar. The silence fire of rebellion swept over the country.
discontentment
The strength of the British army was Indian soldiers. They fought bravely for them but never get a honourable recognition.
There used to be a British commander over Indian soldiers, whether he may be an unworthy or useless.
This was the main reason of displeasure in military.
Public was also displeased with British. Reason of their displeasure was that British had disolved their most useful front Gram Panchayats. Earlier villagers used to solve their problems in panchayats. Now this right was entrusted to watchmen, Patwaris and Police officers.
People were feeling insecure.
In addition to it British atrocities increased over them. They hated the comman Indian.
At several places there were boards with the warning—‘Dog’s and Indian are not allowed.
Assault on Indian Religions
Returning disappointed from England Azimullah visited several Europian countries. This rejection flared a revenge flame in his heart.
He made up his mind to do some extraordinary so that a upsurge stood against the British.
His core programe of foreign tour was to know that if British were opposed in India then which countries comes ahead to help politically or from where it could get aid.
French authorities responded positively and said that he will get aid from French colony Chander Nagar situated in India.
After France he visited Turkistan. Thus after obtaining assurance by several countries he returned to India and acknowledged the situation to Nana Sahib.
Now Nana Sahib confided that hope of justice or honesty from British is useless. There was no chance of pension. Azimullah Khan narrated about his meeting with Rango Bapu and suggested that an organisation be formed for armed revolution against the British.
When this conversation was going on Tantya Tope, Rao Sahib, Jawala Parsad, Baba Bhatt and other patriots were also present in the royal court. Nana enquired about their opinion.
Their view was not different. They wanied to uproot the British rule. So they came to that revolution is the only alternative.
Nana Sahib and his companions had already made a plan. Now a a leader needed to start the rhythm.
Nana Sahib and his associates decided that emperor Bahadur Shah Zafar should be the leader of this revolution.
The ever fading Mughal empire still command respect in the country. People used to see emperor trustfully. Unanimously it was decided that Mughal emperor will be the leader and his green flag will be the revolution flag.
It is also decided that treasuries be looted and the prisoner be set free from jails. Thereafter abolishing the British rule revolutioneries will march towards Delhi.
