Elka was a smart but a lazy little girl. After wasting Sunday morning playing games, she suddenly remembered that she had a test the next day. “Oh! How will I prepare for the test in time?” she cried. A fairy heard her crying and came in through the window. “Oh, a fairy. Fairy, please help me study for my test tomorrow,” begged Elka. The fairy said, “Elka, if you had studied earlier then you wouldn’t have had to be up all night.” Elka promised the fairy to study beforehand, next time. The fairy waved her wand and out came a magic pencil. “This is a magic pencil, Elka. Whatever you write with this shall never be forgotten by you,” said the fairy. Elka sincerely studied all night. The next morning, she answered every question in the examination. She also realised that magic helps but hard work pays in the end!
