
Honesty provides us with a sound character. It is an old saying that honesty pays in the long run. It is a noble virtue. It is in demand everywhere but it is always in short supply. The world is full of dishonest shopkeepers, corrupt policemen and selfish friends. They seem to prosper themselves by carrying out selfish things. The crooks occupy the powerful & prestigious seats. The cheats roll in wealth. The black marketeers flourish. Criminals command respect and have followers. But it is equally true that you cannot befool all the people for all time to come. Dishonesty is short-lived. Dishonesty is exposed sooner or later. A dishonest person lives in constant fear of law and society. An honest man has nothing to fear. He enjoys the peace of mind and confidence of others.
