Dictator Hitler

President Hindenberg didn’t suspect the intentions of Hitler who was covertly planning to become total dictator. He wanted total authority and powers to repair the damages suffered by Germany. His dream was to make German nation mightiest power on the earth.
So, he cunningly made President Hindenberg sign the order dissolving the Reichstage. The preparations for fresh polls began.
Nazis forced industrialists to pay funds for the elections. The parties who were in power during the past 14 years were asked to submit income and expenditure details.
In the coalition ministry Hitler had given the key ministries to his own confidant followers. Goering had the Police and Prussian administration departments. Through this charge he was virtually ruling over two thirds of Germany. At Hitler’s signal he put their secret agenda in action.

Nazi party members were appointed on key posts. Goering ordered the police not to challenge the Storm Troops. On the pretext of expanding police force he inducted 40,000 Storm Troops in the police department.
In the election campaign all the banners and the posters of the communists were torn to shreds. They were prevented from the electioneering. It was Nazis all over. Marxists were targetted for the physical attacks.
Hitler thundered, “Marxists will be thrown out of Germany. There is no place for traitors.”
On 3 March, 1933 Goering announced at Frankfurt, “The police and Nazis are one force. I warn the communists that clashing with us will be suicidal.”
On 5 March, 1933 election results were declared. Nazis had won by clear majority.
Nazis arrogantly dismissed all the state governments. All the states were brought under direct central rule. Nazi stalwarts were appointed as the governors of the states.
During March and April thousands of Storm Troops stormed into trade union offices. For the two months Hitler’s troops and Marxists fought pitched battles. After eliminating Marxists the Storm Troops took over trade unions. Nazis founded German Labour Front and all the trade unions were merged into it.
On 14 July, 1934 Nazi government issued a gazette according to which National Socialists German Workers Party (New name of Nazi Party) was the only recognised party. All other parties were derecognised. Forming any other political party had become a punishable crime.
By August, 1934 Hitler democratic system was dismantled. On 2nd August, President Hindenberg passed away. Only one hour after his demise Hitler merged the post of the President and the Chancellor. Now he was the Supreme Commander of the Army as well.
