Deno and the Dustpan

It was Deno’s birthday. He had turned nine. His parents organised a big party for him in their garden. When the party was over, Deno looked at the garden. He was surprised to see all the potato chip bags, paper plates and glasses lying scattered on the ground. He said, “Dad, did we really make this mess?” While cleaning up the mess, Deno’s father said, “Son, if you had littered the street, mountains or the beach, maybe nobody would have thought of cleaning up the mess. All the plastic would have been left out there to cause more pollution.” Deno realised the importance of picking up the litter from the ground. The next day, Deno and his friends went to the market and got ten dustpans. Over the next few months, Deno and all his friends picked up all the litter from the streets of their town every day. They then put all the trash in trash bins. The town looked much prettier now.
