Once, there was a young man named James who liked puppets. So he joined an expert puppet-maker to learn to make good puppets. Unfortunately, James could not make the puppets well, as he was quite clumsy. He ended up being fired from his job by his master. James made up his mind that he would concentrate on making only one kind of puppet, from now on. He would discard the puppet that had any fault in it and start working on a new one from scratch. Many years went by and his puppets got better and better. By the time he was an old man, his puppet was almost perfect. Finally one day, he looked at his puppet and said, “This is just about it! There’s nothing wrong with it now.” Instead of abandoning his creation this time, he proudly put it up on his shelf. Now he was truly happy and contented.
